Scouring

Scouring is a process to remove wax, oil, fatty acid from the fabric due to increase the water absorbency as scouring agent Caustic Soda ( NaoH ) and Sodium Carbonate ( Na2Co3 ) are used.


Objectives:

  • To remove wax, oil, fatty acid from the fabric.
  • To remove dust
  • To increase the water absorbency of the fabric
  • To prepare the fabric for the next process
